COSTS

Service trips costs vary by location. Visit the trips page for the specific location you are interested in traveling to for pricing. Trip fees do NOT include airfare. Trips to Guatemala, Haiti and Mississippi are all 6 nights/7-day trips. Trips to Peru are 7 nights/8 days. This includes transportation to and from the destination's airport, transportation to and from the work site, lodging, clean water, three meals a day, medical travel insurance, project costs, translators if needed.

This price does not include:

  • Costs associated with obtaining a passport;

  • Transportation to or from your local airport;

  • Extra food (above the 3 daily meals provided);

  • Medical costs including costs for vaccinations and any medicine you may require;

  • Costs related to delayed or canceled flights;

  • Extra transportation if you miss the scheduled arrival time of the team.

PRE-TRIP LOGISTICS

  • Payment of all trip fees and completion of the trip registration form is required at least three (3) months prior to travel. Dates are not guaranteed until payments are received.

  • Teams are responsible for coordinating flights and purchasing airfare, PID is happy to set you up with one of our travel agencies to receive the best deals. Flights must be approved by PID before purchase

  • Trips are first come first serve - choose your dates early and notify trips@pidonline.org. No spot is guaranteed until your deposit is paid.

  • All dates are subject to change depending on group requirements. Other dates can be arranged for groups of 8-12, but a $900 holding fee is required to hold your dates. This is a non-refundable fee if you should cancel your trip. If you do not cancel the holding fee will be applied to your trip.

  • Please note that children ages 13-15 must travel with a parent; children ages 16-17 traveling must be accompanied by a supervising adult with the permission of the parent. The supervising adult must be able to make arrangements in case of a canceled flight or other unexpected circumstances.

  • You will have to pay additional transportation fees to and from the airport if you do not coordinate your landing and departure with the rest of the team.
